Commercial

Rate card, and what we refuse at any price

What can be bought from this publication, what it costs, and the full list of things that are not for sale at any price.

Why publish a rate card at all

Because a publication that grades commercial claims and does not disclose its own commercial terms is asking for a trust it has not earned. Publishing the rate card also removes a negotiation: there is no better deal available, because the terms are public.

What is for sale

Available placements
PlacementWhat it isRate
Supplier listingA directory entry against the ten-field disclosure schema, alphabetical, labelled paid, declined fields marked as declined.£480 per year
Clinic listingA reduced-field directory entry covering product categories used, regulatory basis relied on, practitioner registration and adverse event arrangements.£300 per year
Newsletter sponsor lineOne labelled sponsor line at the foot of a single issue of the science briefing. One sponsor per issue.£250 per issue

Rates are exclusive of VAT where applicable. There is no bulk discount, no annual package and no negotiated rate, because a negotiated rate is a relationship and relationships are what this page exists to prevent.

What is not for sale, at any price

This list is the point of the page. Every item on it has been asked for by someone, in this sector or another, and the answer is the same each time.

  • An evidence grade, or any influence over one. Including a request to review a grade privately before it publishes.
  • Coverage. We will not write about a product because a party paid for a listing, and we will not decline to write about one either.
  • Silence. A commercial relationship does not buy the removal, softening or delay of editorial content, and we will not accept a listing conditional on any of those.
  • Pre-publication sight. No commercial party sees an article before it publishes. Where we put a factual question to a company, we send the question, not the article.
  • Position or prominence. Alphabetical is the only order. No featured slots, badges, highlighting or ordering preference exists to be sold.
  • Removal of a declined field. If you decline to disclose, that is published.
  • Sponsored articles or advertorial. In any form, however labelled.
  • Affiliate arrangements. We take no commission on anything.
  • Subscriber data. Not sold, not rented, not shared, not used to build an audience segment for a sponsor.
  • Editorial input from a sponsor. A sponsor line buys the line. It buys no influence over what is in the issue it appears in.

Refusals we have made

We will publish refusals here as they occur, with the request described and the party unnamed unless they wish otherwise. At the time of publication no such request has been received, because the publication has just opened. That entry will be updated rather than removed, and its absence today is a statement about the age of the site rather than about the sector.

How a sponsor line looks

At the foot of an issue, marked with a sponsor label, separated from editorial by a rule, in the same typeface as the rest of the issue and no larger. It names the sponsor and carries one sentence supplied by them. It does not appear inside the editorial content, it is not written by us, and it is not presented as our view.

Conflicts

If a listed party becomes the subject of an evidence panel or an article, the listing continues, the article publishes, and the listing is disclosed within the article. We will not resolve that tension by dropping the article, and a listed party who objects may cancel their listing, which we will publish as a cancellation without comment on their reasons unless they wish us to state them.

Enquiries

Write to desk@exosomaltherapy.co.uk. Please do not open with a proposal for something on the refusal list; the answer is on this page and it will not be different in an email.

Questions readers ask

Can I buy an evidence grade?

No. Grades are not for sale at any price and no commercial arrangement can influence one. This is the only thing readers have to trust and therefore the one thing that is not available.

Do sponsors see the newsletter before it goes out?

No. A sponsor line buys the line at the foot of an issue and nothing else, including no sight of the issue and no influence over what is in it.

Are rates negotiable?

No. The rates are published and there is no bulk discount or negotiated rate, because a negotiated rate is a relationship and this page exists to prevent relationships.

What happens if a listed company is criticised in an article?

The article publishes, the listing continues, and the listing is disclosed within the article. A listed party who objects may cancel, which we publish as a cancellation.

Do you publish refusals?

Yes. Requests we refuse are published here with the request described and the party unnamed unless they wish otherwise.

The science briefing

One email a fortnight. What was published in extracellular vesicle and regenerative aesthetics research, what it actually showed, and which claims moved on our grading scale. Written for people who read the methods section.
